  1. Beautiful Recycled Furniture

    Nov 2011
Italian based studio Nucleo are a group of artists with a diverse set of specialist areas from contemporary art and design to architecture. They have utilized skills from all disciplines here to fashion a very clever use for scrap wood. These plywood offcuts have been chopped to shape, screen printed and affixed into a glorius set of table and chairs. Food for thought for opportunistic skip fodder or any idol piece of wood laying around.... [Read more]

  3. Spectacular Space Timelapse

    Nov 2011
This video is brilliant. I think with years of Hollywood space films we can become slightly desensitised to imagery of the universe beyond earth's atmosphere. This time-lapse however is the real deal captured by astronauts from an orbiting space-station. They have used a low light 4k camera that picks up even minute amounts of glow and the result is spectacular. Please view this in full screen HD and keep your eye out for lightening storms.... 4. Breathtaking Landscapes from Johnathon Zawada

    Nov 2011
Johnathon Zawada is a Sydney based artist who works primarily in mixed media. His back catalogue is as impressive in his commercial work as his non-commercial. The set that caught my eye comes from the later. The images featured are from an exhibition called Over Time held in the Prism Gallery in LA last year. The breathtaking landscapes were based real on graph data but rendered in oil ... [Read more]

Jack Bresnahan, a recent graduate from Northumbria University was quoted in saying "anything that ends up in landfill is simply poor design". His graduate show displays a reaction to this by devising a series of 9 plastic lids which turn tin food cans into a variety of useful objects including a vase, soap dispenser, sugar caster, tea and coffee canisters, toothbrush holder, money box and desk tidy. ... 6. Minimix 17: John Mahon
    Posted by Synth Eastwood
    Nov 2011
This weeks mini-mix comes from the Richard Brandson Pickle of Irish dance music, John Mahon. Co-founder of Ireland's premier music promoters Bodytonic, and one of the main energies behind the success of The Bernard Shaw & The Twisted Pepper. Guilty of serving beer and art to the masses whilst reigniting the flame of car-boots. These days you can find John up a ladder, drill in hand as often as you can behind a set of decks. So in the spirit of continuity todays mini-mix has been recorded... [Read more]

  8. Wants for Sale
    Posted by Karl
    Nov 2011
We got sent this website last week and have been smiling about it since. 'Wants For Sale' is a simple and brilliant idea started in 2007 by Christine & Justin Gignac. The way it works is simple. Christine & Justin paint an object they desire such as a watch, a pair of trainers or a slice of pizza. They then sell the painting for the amount the real item is valued at. A painting of pizza sells at $3.00, a painting of a Gold Watch sells at $287.19. After each painting is sold, the original item is then... [Read more]

Yes, you've read it correctly. Wayne Coyne and Co. have released a song that is 1437 minutes longer than your average song. It's called "7 Skies H3" and you can stream it here.
