Clever Tin Can Lids

November 10, 2011 by Synth Eastwood

Jack Bresnahan, a recent graduate from Northumbria University was quoted in saying “anything that ends up in landfill is simply poor design”. His graduate show displays a reaction to this by devising a series of 9 plastic lids which turn tin food cans into a variety of useful objects including a vase, soap dispenser, sugar caster, tea and coffee canisters, toothbrush holder, money box and desk tidy.

The set are fully bio-degradable and were on public display at the New Designers exhibition in London. Surely to hit the market soon.

Found via Dezeen and tipped off by Shocko who we at SE wish a very happy birthday to.
