    Jun 2011
The Dublin Guitar Quartet are a 27 string-ed beast that are moments away from making the hairs on the back of your neck stand up without the need of any Marshall stacks. The four piece are Brian Bolger, Pat Brunnock, David Creevy and Tomas O’Durcain and above they play Philip Glass. Enjoy.... [Read more]
  2. ‘BLA BLA’ An Interactive Tale

    Jun 2011
Storytelling has been ingrained in us since the dawn of time. The custom has come a long way from cave drawings to sitting round a fire passing on tales, to hand scribed manuscripts, to the invention of the printing press, the dawn of radio through to film. Now with the explosion of the home computer and the added focus of touch screen tablets and phones interactive story telling is a medium on the rise. ... [Read more]

It's been a whole 6 months since we revamped our site and launched our daily blog so we thought we'd check-in with everyone and say hello. HELLO. We've really enjoyed our introduction to the blogosphere and are keen to keep things truckin'. Areas we've been posting about mostly include music, technology, art, architecture and film. A nice variety of topics we think. To give folks a quick overview... [Read more]
  4. Urban meets rural, business meets pleasure

    Jun 2011
This clever tube-like office is pretty damn special. Designed and built in 2009 by Spanish architects Selgas Cano, the space not only serves as a great example of their creative work but also as their working studio. Located in a scenic forest outside Madrid the studio is set into the forest floor and is enclosed by a large curved glass roof... two features that no doubt have positive heating and lighting effects. ... 5. Passport and Reality

Saw this nice and simple collaborative project on Behance this morning. People pop up their stern looking passport photos alongside more recent human-like versions. Pretty simple idea but it has a certain charm... probably because everyone's had an embarrassing passport photo taken at some stage. I'd really love to see a Top 10 Embarrassing Passport Photos as compiled by Dublin Airport's Passport Controllers. More to be seen here.... [Read more]

    Jun 2011
Saw this brilliant video on Storyful and thought I'd share it here. Cameraman Ty Cullen walks about New York asking random folk what they are listening to on their headphones. He then creates a playlist from his day's findings (below). What a great idea.... [Read more]

  10. Minimix 08: I Am The Cosmos
    Posted by Synth Eastwood
    Jun 2011
This weeks minimix has been whipped together by Cian Murphy from Dublin band I Am The Cosmos. For the last while the duo of Ross Turner and Cian have been switch flickin', guitar lickin', into the groove clickin', and to the man stickin' the sounds that'll form the basis of their debut release. Although no dates have yet been set for this you can check out their ... [Read more]
