Shock Becomes A Label

April 7, 2011 by Al

This month our friends at Shock have made their long overdue segway from creating podcasts to releasing original music… The Shock (Outputs) label is born.

The first output is a double track release from The SM Corporation a widely unknown Irish synth-pop act that recorded back in 1983. Those master tapes were romantically uncovered from a dusty attic after a rest of 27 years and are now ready to be aired again.

Eyes On Fire/Assault On Precinct 13 is available to buy on digital download here. A limited 10″ vinyl release will follow alongside new material from the much hyped The Great Lakes Mystery. A full album from The SM Corporation is due to follow later in the year.

Above is the video for the b-side to their first release, a cover of John Carpenter’s theme from ‘Assault On Precinct 13’ .
