The Explosive work of Alexandre Farto

Lisbon based artist Alexandre Farto, aka Vhils, has developed a particularly striking take on street art. Using chisels, hammers, power-tools and occasionally some small explosives he changes boring facades into delicate works of art. There’s a really wonderful contrast between the method and the result — which, for me, is most evident in the detail of his type pieces (pictured).
