The Midas Project

September 9, 2011 by Synth Eastwood

The Midas Project is a very successful marriage between cutting edge technologies and traditional artistic performance. Created by Irish group MidasSpaces this installation was displayed in Dublin’s Helix Theatre as part of a recent Masters exhibition. Working with the dancer Tom O’Donnell the group have used the latest tracking and mapping technology to build an interactive environment that moves and changes with the improvised choreography.

The narrative of the piece is fittingly “mans everchanging relationship with technology”. This is well worth a view. For more info on the group check out their website here.
