Studio 54’s Nicky Siano Comes To Dublin

September 29, 2011 by Al

Anyone who is a fan of Disco should take a moment to thank New Yorker Nicky Siano. Nicky was a trailblazer in Disco’s formative days, setting up the famous New York club The Gallery in 1973, aged only 17. Later he would become a resident of the legendary Studio 54 club. His blending of all things funk and soul-based into a seamless disco evening would lay the bench mark for what Djing has become today. He is in Ireland this Saturday, as a guest of Nightflight to premiere his new documentary “Love is the Message – A Night at the Gallery 1973” and to play a 4 hour set.

For those that want know more about Nicky, Nightflight have lovingly prepared a podcast documenting his story and his music.
