Beats In Space

August 5, 2011 by Al

Today we give a long overdue mention to Beats In Space, one of our favourite podcast shows. BIS is broadcasted weekly by DFA record’s Tim Sweeney on WNYU New York. Every show Tim invites different guests into the studio and his latest features Horse Meat Disco and fresh from SE Minimix 11, Shit Robot (who kindly mentioned us in the interview too!). You can listen to the show here. If you’re not already familiar please have a dig through the back catalogue. It is very special.

It’s near impossible to choose but my all time favourite BIS mix is by french maestro Cosmo Vitelli from back in 2007. Feel free to share your favourites below.

For our Minimix Series we ask creatives of all disciplines to select 30 minutes of music for your listening pleasure. Music to dance to, music to work to, music to get hubba hubba to. So far we've had some amazing mixes from folk like Jape, Shit Robot, Conor & David and Toby Kaar. A lot more to follow too. Click above to tune in.
