Amazing Landscapes in Oil

June 2, 2011 by Al

These images look like a collection of gallery worthy landscapes carefully layered up in oil paint. By a strange irony they sort of are. The images are in fact satellite photographs that have been taken by Google Earth over the priceless oil fields in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The landscape looks striking from space with the scenes accidentally but artfully broken up by these perfect dark circles.

Bona Fide instantaneous album cover material. Now all one must do is write an album. Pass me my stringed rababa.

Big thanks to Rudimentary records for finding this.
