Hats off to Bluefingers

January 13, 2012 by Synth Eastwood

In short, Bluefingers are a fair-trade Irish-owned hand-made sweat-shop that deals primarily in screen printed delights. Based in Dublin their principle range of goods so far have been tee-shirts and posters but recently they have taken the obvious step into collaborative millinery.

Their current project has seen them team up with Donegal hat makers Hanna Hats for which they are calling upon different illustrators to bring an Irish classic to a new audience. The first artist up is James Kirwan his piece was screen printed to silk and lovingly sewn into a “Vintage Flatcap” and “Classic Grey Herringbone”. Bald-patches and barnets have never been happier. Really nice idea. Hat’s off Gents.
