Park(ing) Day in Dublin

May 23, 2012 by Synth Eastwood

A really great idea was featured today on the Pivot Dublin blog via the guys in Le Cool.

The 21st of September 2012 is world Park(ing) Day an initiative started in San francisco that has captured the imagination of people in cities all over the world. In short it’s a campaign urging people to pay for a city car parking space for a day and use it for something more interesting than parking a car. Last year in Ireland 16 spaces took part featuring landscaped gardens, seating areas, mini-parks, talks, petting zoo’s and much more.

There is a drive to ramp that up to much more this year. Top plan.
