The Cosmos

April 20, 2012 by Karl

Swiss artist David Fuhrer has digitally rendered our solar system for a project called The Cosmos he is currently working on. What makes his solar system special is that he removes the planets from their normal setting and places them on a white background — something we are more akin to seeing with art, fashion and product photography. The knock-on effect is that we view each planet in isolation and really take in the alien depth and detail each one carries.

Pretty mesmerising stuff.
