Outside Fortress, Inside Palace

Japanese Architects Jun Igarashi have taken a interesting approach to designing this single story bungalow entitled “House 0”. What appears so private from the outside with the help of sneaky roof windows seems very light from the inside. The floor plan shows how all rooms are connected open plan from the centre out, with the rooms that branch out becoming smaller, cosier or lighter for their various uses. Good job.

There are very few Irish country roads that don’t have a white bungalow or two nestled in. Are we ready to freak out planning officials with structures like these yet?
