Soulwax’s New Audio/Visual Marathon

July 4, 2011 by Al

Belgian outfit Soulwax/2manydjs have a habit of reinventing themselves. First the semi-big indie driven live act, Soulwax. Then the massively famous mash up pioneers, 2manydjs. Then back to the band but dance driven and on a much larger scale. In the last number of years they have stepped up the re-touring of their 2manydjs show and despite a waning interest from the critical world, last week they proclaimed a new relevance with a super project putting a modern angle on their trade mark style.

Radio Soulwax “Introversy” is a 2 year labour of love that attempts to pay homage to the dying art of the cover sleeve. The project releases an hour mix each day of intros with accompanying animated sleeves with them set to release 24 in all. This is primarily aimed at the smart phone and tablet app market and translates into a full day of mesmirising content for download. The app is free, so get it now if you can, alternatively you can also see the video here on their site.
